Jon has over 30 years’ experience in aircraft leasing, finance, marketing, technical evaluation & management, having held senior positions with airlines, OEMs & lessors around the world. From 2017 to 2019, Jon was the Dubai-based Chief Commercial Officer for DAE Capital after acquisition of AWAS by Dubai Aerospace Enterprise. He was responsible for origination & execution of all aircraft leasing, purchasing, sales & marketing activity with airline customers, as well as management of DAE’s global sales & marketing teams. Upon re-joining AWAS from Airbus in 2001, Jon was VP Sales in Sydney until 2003 when he re-established AWAS’ Asian footprint by opening, then growing the AWAS office in Singapore as the Managing Director, Asia Pacific Sales. Jon’s aviation career commenced with Ansett Airlines in 1988 & he was seconded to AWAS where he held several positions, including AWAS’ representative at Seattle-based Boeing. From 1995 to 2001 he was with Airbus’ Commercial Departments in Toulouse & Sydney before re-joining AWAS.
